Biography

  • Won four silver medals at the Lima 2019 Pan American Games: individually in the 100m backstroke and 100m butterfly, also a medallist with the women’s and mixed 4x100m medley relays
  • Named to her first senior A national team for the 2018 Pan Pacific Championships where she reached the finals of three events
  • Represented Canada at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games, reaching the finals in four events
  • Shortly thereafter, represented Canada at the 2014 Junior Pan Pacific Championships, where she earned a silver in the 100m backstroke and a bronze in the 4x100m medley relay
  • Semifinalist in the 50m and 100m backstroke events at the 2017 Universiade
  • Won 50m backstroke bronze at the 2015 World Junior Championships
  • Won three individual medals at 2013 Canada Games, highlighted by gold in the 50m backstroke along with silver in the 100m and 200m backstroke events
  • 2022 U Sports Swimmer of the Year while representing the University of British Columbia; won five gold medals and a silver at the 2022 U Sports Championships
  • Had previously competed collegiately for the University of Victoria, where she was the U Sports champion in the 200m butterfly for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons

Getting into the Sport: Enrolled in swimming lessons by parents at a young age… When she progressed quickly, they decided to put her into competitive swimming and she never stopped… Outside Interests: Enjoys reading, watching movies, and going for walks when not swimming… Studied psychology and political science at the University of Victoria… Odds and Ends:  Guilty pleasure food is gummies…
