Jasper Fleming

Biography

Jasper Fleming is set to make his Olympic debut at Milano Cortina 2026. He debuted on the IBU World Cup circuit during the 2024-25 season when he was just 19 years old. He had entered the season hoping to qualify for the second-tier IBU Cup circuit, but a strong set of selection races put him on a plane to represent Canada at the highest level of competition in his sport.

Fleming competed at the IBU Youth World Championships in 2024, highlighted by an eighth-place finish in the sprint. He moved to compete at the IBU Junior World Championships in 2025.

Fleming refers to himself as “extremely dyslexic”. It was something he dealt with silently throughout his childhood until being diagnosed when he was 10. With extra tutoring on top of his regular school for four years, he was able to rewire his brain and now looks at it as an “extraordinary superpower” to think in a unique way.

During his biathlon career, Fleming has also been a high-level cyclist, competing for the B.C. provincial cross-country mountain bike team in the Canada Cup series.
