Laurianne Desmarais-Gilbert
Biography
Laurianne Desmarais-Gilbert is set to make her Olympic debut at Milano Cortina 2026.
In her second appearance at the senior FIS World Championships in 2025, Desmarais-Gilbert had one of the competitions of her life as she finished fourth in moguls.
Desmarais-Gilbert made her FIS World Cup debut in January 2019. After only entering Canadian-hosted events for a few years, she began competing fulltime on the circuit during the 2022-23 season. She posted her career-best result on the circuit in February 2024 when she finished eighth in moguls in Deer Valley.
Desmarais-Gilbert finished third in the Nor-Am Cup standings for moguls/dual moguls in 2021-22 when she posted two podium finishes. She first competed in Nor-Am Cup events in 2014.
She competed at the FIS Junior World Championships in 2016 and 2017.

Getting into the Sport: Comes from a skiing family so was on skis at a young age… Her mother had spent time teaching her how to ski bumps and when she was 10 her local ski hill started a moguls club… Realized at age 16 that she wanted to start competing seriously… Made the national team in 2018… Outside Interests: Enjoys camping and hiking…
