Max Hollmann
Biography
Max Hollmann is set to make his Olympic debut at Milano Cortina 2026 after winning the men’s 10km free event at the Nordiq Canada 2026 Olympic Winter Games Trials. He had been unsure if he would be able to race in the event after undergoing surgery just five weeks earlier. He had broken the scaphoid bone in his wrist six weeks before that, so had been training without poles for several months.
Hollmann debuted at the senior FIS World Championships in 2025 where he was part of Canada’s fifth-place finish in the men’s 4×7.5km relay alongside Xavier McKeever, Antoine Cyr, and Olivier Léveillé. He also competed in three individual events.
Hollmann was a member of Canada’s gold medal-winning 4x5km mixed relay team at the 2024 FIS U23 World Championships alongside Derek Deuling, Jasmine Drolet, and Liliane Gagnon. That was his second of three straight appearances at the U23 Worlds after he competed at the FIS Junior World Championships in 2022.
Hollmann made his debut on the FIS World Cup circuit in January 2024. He won his first national title in March 2024 in the men’s 10km free event.
