Four Olympians among Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame 2014 class

Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame named the Class of 2014 today, including four Olympians, and set the induction celebration for October 22 in Toronto.

Ski jumper Horst Bulau, cross-country skier and cyclist Pierre Harvey, hockey hero Geraldine Heaney and figure skater Elizabeth Manley are the Olympians who will enter the Sports Hall.

FIS World Champion and freestyle skiing pioneer, the late Sarah Burke along with rugby phenom Gareth Rees are the two other athletes.

Builders are wheelchair basketball coach Tim Frick and women’s basketball coach Kathy Shields.

Horst Bulau, ski jumping

Four-time Olympian. 7th in 1988, Canada’s best-ever Olympic ski jumping finish. 13 World Cup wins.

Summer and Winter Olympian. First Canadian to win a cross-country World Cup. Alex Harvey‘s Dad.
