A second chance at requesting Rio 2016 tickets has emerged for Team Canada fans.

Initially, as per plans released on May 1, individual ticket requests were to end May 5 and a public sale was to begin on May 19. Live sales have since been postponed, giving way to a second request phase in order to best meet the needs of Canadian Olympic fans.

Beginning on June 3, 2015 and ending seven days later, there will be a second request phase for fans wanting a chance at admission for their favourite Olympic events. When that phase ends on June 10, over the next two days a ballot will take place for the most in-demand events where there are more requests than available tickets.

From June 15 to 19, fans whose ticket requests have been accepted will be contacted for a chance to purchase seats for the Olympic Games in the summer of 2016.

Following the close of the second request phase, any remaining tickets will be made available to fans online at CoSport.  Availability is expected to be limited, so placing a request during this phase is the best option for fans.
