The road to Rio for Canada’s men’s field hockey team is being documented in a new mini-series.

Part one of the “Canada’s Other Hockey” series was released on Thursday by Field Hockey Canada and follows the team through a tournament in Malaysia.

Canada, currently ranked 14th in the world rankings, will be participating in men’s Olympic field hockey for the seventh time. Canada’s last appearance was at Beijing 2008 where the team finished 10th.

Men’s field hockey will take place August 6-18 at Olympic Hockey Centre. Canada will play in Pool B with the Netherlands (ranked No. 2), Germany (No. 3), Argentina (No. 6), India (No. 7) and Ireland (No.12). The team’s first game will be on Aug. 6 against the Germans.

Canada will play a number of games in preparation for Rio 2016, including four games in Ireland and three matches in Spain from June 6-21.
