Beijing Bronze
August 17, 2008: Swimmer Ryan Cochrane wins bronze in the 1500m freestyle at the Games of the XXIX Olympiad in Beijing. It is Canada’s first Olympic medal in the event since George Vernot won silver at Antwerp 1920.
