While all eyes were rightfully on the curlers as they look to make the Canadian Olympic Team (which will be decided in a week), those watching the action on Sunday were also treated to San Diego anchorman Ron Burgundy, who made a curling cameo in Manitoba.

Roar of the Rings broadcaster TSN let the country know when Mr. Burgundy made his first appearance.

Soon Mr. Burgundy ingratiated himself with the locals.

Once the word got out, grandmas called their grandkids.

Back at the rink…

Then Mr. Burgundy made his way to the broadcast booth to join Vic Rauter and co.

Here is some of the ensuing dialogue.

For many Anchorman fans Ron’s time on air was all too brief but it sure rocked. To watch the clips of the appearance visit TSN.ca.
