It’s official Kanye West will make the Pan Am Games Closing Ceremony harder, better, faster and well… stronger.

On Wednesday morning Canadian men’s basketball team member Anthony Bennett tweeted that he has the inside scoop on the headliner at the Closing Ceremony.

Just a couple of hours later, the TO2015 organizing committee confirmed that Kanye West will take the stage at the Pan Am Games Closing Ceremony.

The spectacular TO2015 Opening Ceremony made Team Canada athletes the stars. Since then they’ve responded with a medal haul on record pace. The organizers are going all out to give the athletes who have thrilled Canada since July 10 a party to remember, adding not only Kanye West but Pitbull and Serena Ryder to the lineup.

When the news broke on Twitter fans got excited:

However, not everyone felt this way:

But, that’s okay Kanye once said “Love your haters – they’re your biggest fans”.

While we’re excited about Kanye West bringing All of the Lights to the Closing Ceremony, we all know the biggest stars on July 26 will be the athletes of the Pan Am Games, many of whom we’ve celebrated, and others that have yet to reveal themselves as we’re only on the fifth day of the Games.
