Blake Worsley competed at the London 2012 Games as a first-time Olympian in the 200m freestyle event, finishing 17th overall. Worsley was also part of the 4x200m freestyle relay team with Colin Russell, Tobias Oriwol and Alec Page that finished 14th.
In her first Olympic Games, Tera Van Beilen had a top-10 finish in the 100m breaststroke. She also competed in the 200m breaststroke finishing 21st and was a member of the 4x100m medley that finished in 12th place, along with Julia Wilkinson, Katherine Savard and Samantha Cheverton.
One of Canada’s top butterfly specialists, Savard made her Olympic debut at London 2012. She qualified for the semifinals of the 100m butterfly, finishing 16th overall. She also posted a 19th place finish in the 200m butterfly.
Sinead Russell made her Olympic Games debut in London 2012 and finished eighth in the 200m backstroke and 16th in the 100m backstroke.
Amanda Reason qualified for her first Olympic Games in 2012 and finished just off the podium in fourth place in the 4x200m freestyle relay with teammates Barbara Jardin, Samantha Cheverton and Brittany MacLean.
Alec Page competed at the London Games as a first-time Olympian in the 400m individual medley event, finishing 23rd overall. Page was also part of the 4x200m freestyle relay team that finished 14th, with Colin Russell, Tobias Oriwol and Blake Worsley.
Heather MacLean competed in her first Olympic Games as a member of the 4x100m freestyle team with Victoria Poon, Julia Wilkinson and Samantha Cheverton and finished 11th overall.
Brittany MacLean was one of the younger members of the Canadian Olympic Team in her Games debut in London at age 18. MacLean finished seventh in the 400m freestyle and just off the podium in fourth place in the 4x200m freestyle with teammates Barbara Jardin, Samantha Cheverton and Amanda Reason.
