Media Advisory: Rio 2016 basketball and swimming ticketing
Thursday, August 4, 2016 — RIO DE JANEIRO — The Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) is now accepting an expression of interest for media tickets to the following events on Saturday, August 6, 2016:
- Swimming – Finals
- Basketball – Preliminary Game – China vs. USA
If interested and have accreditation through the COC, please have one representative from your organization submit the following information to mediatickets@olympic.ca by Friday, August 5 at 5:00 p.m. BRT:
- Full name(s)
- Name of media outlet
- Event(s) requested
- Type of ticket(s) – Journalist or Photographer
Due to limited tickets provided by the IOC, we will not be able to fulfill all requests. If granted, a confirmation will be sent via email by Saturday at noon.
A reminder that according to the IOC’s News Access Rules, ENR accreditations do not qualify for tickets for high demand events. ENRs are not permitted to originate or broadcast any programming or feed from any Olympic venue.
