Biography

  • Won gold as a member of the men’s team pursuit at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games
  • Also competed in road cycling at Santiago 2023
  • 2022 Canadian junior champion in the road cycling time trial
  • 2021 Canadian junior silver medallist in the road cycling time trial
  • Competed at the UCI Junior World Championships for track cycling and road cycling in 2022
  • Competed in his first UCI Nations Cup in Milton in April 2023 in the team pursuit

A Little More About Campbell

Getting into the Sport: Started racing bikes at age 8, following his dad… Got the bug to do all kinds of races including cyclocross, mountain bike, road and track… Became dedicated to his goal of representing Canada after being cut from a provincial mountain bike team project… Outside Interests: Hobbies include ceramics, skiing, mountain biking… Attending the University of British Columbia… Odds and Ends: Can ride a unicycle; once entered his elementary school talent contest riding a unicycle while bouncing a basketball… Inspired by his coach, Richard Wooles, who encourages him to be the best version of himself and understand himself better as an athlete and person… Favourite mottoes: “It’s the one thing you can control. You are responsible for how people remember you–or don’t. So don’t take it lightly” and “If you don’t believe in yourself, no one will do it for you”…
