Daniel Hall

Biography

Daniel Hall is set to make his Olympic debut at Milano Cortina 2026. His sister, Laura Hall, will also be a member of Canada’s long track speed skating team at the Games. They will become second generation Olympians, following their father Michael, who competed in long track speed skating for Canada at Lillehammer 1994.

Hall made his first appearance on the ISU World Cup circuit in January 2025. He raced in the A Division for the first time at the 2025-26 season opener in Salt Lake City.

Hall finished in the top eight in the 5000m and mass start at the 2024 ISU Four Continents Championships. He won back-to-back silver medals in the men’s mass start at the ISU World Junior Championships in 2023 and 2024. He was also part of a gold medal in the team pursuit in 2024.

Hall won gold in the 5000m and bronze in the team pursuit for Team Alberta at the 2023 Canada Winter Games in Prince Edward Island.
