Biography

  • Served as Team Canada’s Opening Ceremony flag bearer at the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games
  • Won individual epee bronze at the 2014 Cadet World Championships
  • Competed at four editions of the FIE Junior World Championships (2014-2017)
  • Competed in individual epee at the 2022 and 2023 senior FIE World Championships; had made his senior worlds debut in 2019 in team epee  
  • Won two NCAA National Championship team titles with Notre Dame
  • Two-time (2016, 2019) ACC men’s epee champion while at Notre Dame

A Little More About Dylan

Getting into the Sport: Started fencing at age 8 and began competing at age 11… Like many kids he wanted to try sword fighting but stuck with it because he enjoyed the strategy involved… Outside Interests: Graduated from Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame in 2019… Enjoys spending time with his dog, Jagger, a Jindo rescue from Korea… Works as a sales development representative for a financial services company… Odds and Ends: Inspired by his coaches Victor and Igor Gantsevich…
