Katrina Bellio beat her personal best in the women’s 1500m freestyle by five seconds at the Canadian Olympic Trials to go under the qualifying time and earn her ticket to Tokyo 2020 where the event will make its Olympic debut.
Bellio had previously represented Canada at the 2019 FINA World Junior Championships where she won a bronze medal in the 4x200m freestyle relay. She was also a finalist in the 200m freestyle.
