Marie-Jade Lauriault
Biography
Marie-Jade Lauriault and Romain Le Gac are set to represent Canada at Milano Cortina 2026, eight years after making their Olympic debut at PyeongChang 2018 while representing France.
Lauriault and Le Gac, who have been married since 2015, decided in 2020 to begin competing for Canada, where Lauriault was born and raised and where their training centre is based.
They have won three medals at the Canadian Championships, taking bronze in 2023, silver in 2024 and bronze in 2026. They have represented Canada at three editions of the ISU Four Continents Championships, posting a top result of fifth place in 2024.
Lauriault and Le Gac reached the podium in their first ISU Grand Prix event in which they were representing Canada, taking bronze at Skate America in the fall of 2022. They won two medals in ISU Challenger Series events in the fall of 2025, taking gold at Kinoshita Group Cup and bronze at Nebelhorn Trophy.
While representing France, Lauriault and Le Gac competed at three ISU World Championships, posting a top result of 13th place in 2018. Just two years earlier, they finished eighth at the ISU World Junior Championships. In 2019 they placed 10th in their third appearance at the ISU European Championships.
