Naomy Boudreau-Guertin

Biography

Naomy Boudreau-Guertin joined Freestyle Canada’s national next gen team in 2021. She had overcome several years of setbacks, which included major knee surgeries in 2017 and 2019. But her resilience and tenacity paid off when she made her World Cup debut in December 2020. At just her second World Cup event in February 2021, she posted a career-high eighth-place finish in Deer Valley, Utah. She went on to make her first appearance at the FIS World Championships, placing 18^th. 

Back on the World Cup circuit full time in 2021-22, she earned a season-best 11^th-place finish in January in Le Relais, Quebec. She made her Olympic debut at Beijing 2022, placing 18th.

Boudreau-Guertin joined the Nor-Am Cup circuit in December 2015 and earned her first medal, a silver, at the end of her rookie season in Val St. Come, Quebec. She started the 2016-17 season with a bronze medal at the Utah Olympic Park before she required surgical reconstruction of her right ACL. She returned to competition late in the second half of the 2017-18 season but would miss all of 2018-19 after undergoing reconstruction of her left ACL. 

She returned for the 2019-20 season, which was her best on the Nor-Am Cup circuit as she placed fifth overall in aerials after four fourth-place finishes. She finally returned to a Nor-Am Cup podium for the first time in more than four years years when she won bronze at the Utah Olympic Park in February 2021.
