Teck Resources and the Canadian Olympic Committee To Mark Historic Moment in Canadian Sports History

Vancouver, British Columbia —Teck Resources Limited (Teck), an Official Supporter of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, together with the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) is hosting the official celebration for the first Canadian to win an Olympic gold medal on Canadian soil.

As the exclusive supplier of the metals for the gold, silver and bronze medals of the 2010 Winter Games, Teck is joining with the COC to salute Canada’s newest sports hero – Alex Bilodeau. Teck will present the athlete with a special First Canadian Gold award, also produced from Teck’s own metals.

    EVENT FOOTAGE: Because of limited space, media will be unable to attend the formal event and award presentation to the athlete. Awards presentation footage will be made available on an FTP site post-ceremony. FTP site details will be shared on event day.
