Debbie Travis tells Olympians: ‘Enjoy It!’

Canada Olympic House received another special visitor on Day 5 of the Games. After Kim Cattrall and Boris Johnson visited friends and family of Canadian Olympians on Day 2 and Day 4, it was Debbie Travis’ turn to get a taste of COH’s amazing Maple Leaf spirit.

The interior designer, television host, and former model, who was born in England and currently resides in Montreal stopped by with her sons Josh and Max Rosenstein, aged 25 and 24.

Debbie was impressed with Canada Olympic House, calling it fantastic. “It’s very grand,” she said.” It’s a great place for Canadians to meet and bond together.”

Travis’ visit coincided with the men’s eight rowing team’s silver medal win. As cheers erupted from the Red and White crowds circling the televisions in the celebration lounge, Debbie said: “This is the experience of a lifetime. The more people socialize and get together and see it as a big party, the better it is. You don’t want to do this alone, you want to share the Olympic experience.”

When we asked Debbie if she had a message for our London 2012 athletes, she said “I sure do! Good luck and enjoy it! You’ll remember this for the rest of your life.”
