Milos Raonic, Vasek Pospisil - Citi Open 2014

Raonic and Pospisil set for historic all-Canadian final

For the first time ever in the Open era, two Canadians are set to face-off in an ATP final.

Milos Raonic and Vasek Pospisil both disposed of their semi-final opponents in Washington on Saturday for a shot at the Citi Open title.

The second-seeded Raonic needed just a little over an hour to defeat American Donald Young earlier in the day 6-4, 7-5 to reach Sunday’s final. The 23-year-old registered a total of 15 aces.

Milos Raonic,

Richard Gasquet of France was the second player of the day to fall at the hands of a Canadian. Trailing behind 0-3 in the last set, Pospisil kept his poise, coming back to eventually win the match 6-7 (5), 6-3, 7-5. The 24-year-old from Vernon, BC came into the tournament as the 13th-seed.
