Humphries & Lotholz win bronze in La Plagne
After being kept off the podium in Königssee and St. Moritz, Kaillie Humphries roared back with a World Cup bronze in La Plagne, France on Friday.
Humphries, racing with brakeman Melissa Lotholz, had a combined time of 2:02.44 over two runs, behind American teams of Elana Meyers/Cherrelle Garrett (2:01.93) and Jamie Greubel/Lauryn Williams (2:02.17).
It’s the second World Cup bronze for Humphries/Lotholz, previously finishing third in Altenberg. It was also the third medal and bronze overall for Lou Marsh Trophy winner Humphries this very busy season. With two-sport athlete Kate O’Brien, Humphries took the third step of the podium in Calgary.
