Canadian women take five of top six spots in moguls finale
Canadian women dominated the dual moguls in Megève, France landing five of the top six positions, but the big one slipped away.
At the final FIS World Cup event of the season for the moguls team, Chloé Dufour-Lapointe and her younger sister Justine were second and third respectively to Hannah Kearney of the United States.
Andi Naude, Audrey Robichaud and Maxime Dufour-Lapointe – all Team Canada skiers – took places fourth to sixth on Sunday.
On the men’s side only Philippe Marquis could manage to break the top-five for Canada in the dual moguls contests. The world’s top moguls skier, Mikaël Kingsbury, was eighth after tripping up in the quarterfinals.
Nonetheless, Kingsbury won his fourth consecutive FIS moguls and overall freestyle ski titles and his next World Cup win will set an all-time record. Canada also won the Nation’s Cup as the top moguls power.
