Arnaud Gaudet

Biography

Arnaud Gaudet made his Olympic debut at Beijing 2022.

In January 2026, he earned his first career FIS World Cup podium, finishing second in parallel giant slalom (PGS) in Bansko, Bulgaria. His previous personal best on the World Cup circuit had been sixth place in parallel slalom (PSL) which he achieved twice in January 2021 and March 2023. His previous best PGS result was an eighth-place finish on home snow in Val St-Côme, Quebec in February 2025.

Gaudet has competed at four straight FIS World Championships, starting in 2019. In 2023, he won bronze in PSL, a non-Olympic event. It was Canada’s first world championship medal in any alpine snowboard event since 2009. He also recorded his best world championship PGS result in 2023, finishing 14th.  

Gaudet represented Canada at five FIS World Junior Championships (2016-2020). He won the bronze medal in PGS in his final race in 2020.

Gaudet won three straight overall parallel snowboard titles on the Nor-Am Cup circuit from 2018 to 2020 and added a fourth title in 2022. He started competing on the Nor-Am circuit during the 2015-16 season and earned his first victory at the start of the next. In his first title-winning season in 2018, he reached the podium in the first five events. In 2019, he didn’t miss a single Nor-Am Cup podium in eight races. He recorded another five victories in 2020 and four in 2022. His most recent Nor-Am Cup gold medal in 2025 brought his career total on tour to 22.

Gaudet has also competed in European Cup events since 2016. He earned his first victory on that circuit in December 2023 in PSL. He won two PGS events in 2025.

Getting into the Sport: Started snowboarding at age 2 with his dad and brothers and began competing at age 9… His father was the coach of the Quebec Provincial Team while he was growing up… Inspired by Olympic gold medallist, Jasey-Jay Anderson, who is from the same mountain, Tremblant… Outside Interests: Works as a lumberjack in the summer… Enjoys riding his motorcycle, camping…Odds and Ends: Favourite motto: “Life is only as good as your mindset”…
