Biography

Catherine Choi won the both mixed doubles gold at the 2018 El Salvador International and the singles bronze.

In 2019, Choi teamed up with Josephine Wu in women’s doubles. The partnership led to Choi reaching her first BWF World Tour quarterfinals at the Hyderabad Open in August. Just a week later they’d claim the doubles silver medal at the Bulgarian Open.

The pair combined for 5 podium finishes in 2022 and 2023, culminating with winning Choi’s first senior international gold medal at the Guatemala International Challenge.

As a junior, Choi won mixed doubles silver at the 2019 Pan American Championships. That same year she’d make her second appearance at the World Junior Championships, achieving her best result at the event by reaching the round of sixteen in doubles.
