Colleen Sostorics made her Olympic debut at Salt Lake City 2002 where she and Team Canada captured gold. Sostorics would go onto appear at Turin 2006 and Vancouver 2010, winning two more Olympic gold medals with Canada. Over her three Olympic appearances, Sostorics played in 14 games and totaled nine points, highlighted by her one goal and five assists at Vancouver 2010.

A member of the women’s national program from 2000 until her retirement in 2010, Sostorics’ first time wearing the maple leaf was with the under-22 team in 1999 and 2000. Sostorics would go on to appear in six IIHF World Championships (2001, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009), winning three gold medals (2001, 2004, 2007) and three silver medals (2005, 2008, 2009).

Sostorics played for the Calgary Oval X-Treme of the NWHL (2002-04) and remained with the team when they switched to the WWHL (2004-09). She was inducted to the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame in 2012 with her teammates from the Turin 2006 Olympic hockey team.
