Biography:

PIETRANGELO_AlexAlex Pietrangelo represented Canada at two IIHF World Junior Championships. After winning gold in 2009, he helped the team to silver in 2010, while being named the tournament’s Best Defenceman and a media all-star thanks to his three goals and nine assists to lead all defencemen in scoring.

After the end of his first full NHL season, Pietrangelo joined Canada for the 2011 IIHF World Championship. He contributed two goals and three assists to be named as the tournament’s Best Defenceman in Canada’s fifth place finish.
