Biography

  • Won the 200m breaststroke at the 2023 Canadian Swimming Trials after swimming a personal best 2:11.28; also won bronze medals in the 50m and 100m breaststroke events 
  • Competed at the 2022 Junior Pan Pacific Championships where he was a finalist in the 100m and 200m breaststroke events 
  • Made his World Aquatics World Cup debut in October 2022 
  • Has committed to swim collegiately at the University of Texas
  • Grandfather Keijo Taivassalo was the 80+ age-group winner at the 2021 Boston Marathon
