Sheila Reid made her Olympic Games debut in 2012 and finished in 28th place in the 5,000m.

The native of Newmarket, ON qualified for London by winning her first national title in 2012 during the Canadian Championships in Calgary.

Reid has had a distinguished NCAA career. In 2010 and 2011 she won the individual Division 1 national cross-country championship. Also in 2011, she captured the NCAA title in the 1500m and the 5000m, becoming the first woman to win both events at the same meet.
