Just yesterday Bouchard, WTA-ranked no. 20, knocked off Venus Williams in three sets to qualify for the quarters.

She is having a stellar year so far, reaching the semis of the Australian Open in January, eventually falling to China’s Li Na.

Bouchard’s match was the first quarterfinal of the day, with the rest, and ultimately her next opponent, playing later.
