De Grasse wins his second Diamond League race of the season
Andre De Grasse was the fastest man in Oslo, after winning the men’s 100m at the Diamond League event in Norway on Thursday.
After winning the men’s 200m in Birmingham, De Grasse raced to his second straight Diamond League victory, this time in the 100m. The world bronze medallist won in 10.07 seconds, bettering his season’s best of 10.20s set in France last month. American teammates Michael Rodgers (10.09s) and Dentarius Locke (10.12s) completed the podium, finishing second and third respectively.

Christabel Nettey earned her second women’s long jump Diamond League silver, the first came at the circuit’s stop in Shanghai where the Canadian set a season’s best of 6.75 metres. Serbia’s Ivana Spanovic won Thursday’s event with a leap of 6.94m. Nettey jumped 6.68m to secure second, and finish ahead of Great Britain’s Shara Proctor (6.67m).
World champion Shawn Barber won another silver in men’s pole vault. Barber’s jump of 5.73m, landed him second behind France’s Renaud Laviellenie (5.80m), the event’s current leader on the Diamond League circuit. Pawel Wojciechowski of Poland finished third, with a height of 5.65m.

Tim Nedow had his best Diamond League result of the season, finishing fourth in men’s shot put with a throw of 20.40m.
