Brayden Point

Biography

Brayden Point is set to make his Olympic debut at Milano Cortina 2026.

Point helped Canada win the 4 Nations Face-Off in 2025, scoring one goal and one assist in the tournament.

Point had last suited up for Canada at the 2017 IIHF World Championship where he helped the team win silver. Just a year earlier, he served as Team Canada captain at the 2016 IIHF World Junior (U20) Championship. It was the second straight year he competed at the world juniors after helping Canada win gold at the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship. Point previously represented Canada at the 2014 IIHF World U18 Championship, winning the bronze medal.

Point was selected in the third round, 79th overall, by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. After one more season with the WHL’s Moose Jaw Warriors, Point joined the Lighting for the 2016-17 season and has played there through the 2024-25 season. Point helped the Lightning win back-to-back Stanley Cups in 2020 and 2021, leading all players with 14 playoff goals each year. He scored the Cup-clinching goal in 2020.
