Biography

Jenn Gardiner made her debut at the IIHF Women’s World Championship in 2025 where she led the tournament in goals (6), was second in points (10) , and was named a top-three player for Team Canada as they won the silver medal. She had first been named to a senior National Women’s Team roster for the 2023-24 Rivalry Series with Team USA.

Gardiner’s first time representing Canada in a major international tournament was at the 2019 U18 Women’s World Championship where the team won gold.

Gardiner played collegiately at Ohio State University where she won two NCAA Championships and two WCHA Final Faceoff titles. In 2023 she was a finalist for the Patty Kazmaier Award for NCAA player of the year and a Second-Team All-American selection. She served as team captain during her senior year in 2024 and set the Buckeyes’ school record for games played (176).

Selected 11th overall by the Montreal Victoire in the 2024 PWHL draft, Gardiner was a finalist for Rookie of the Year and was named to the All-Rookie Team for 2024-25. She joined the expansion Vancouver Goldeneyes for their debut season in 2025-26

A Little More About Jenn

Getting into the Sport: Started playing hockey at age 4, following her older brother Brad into the sport… Grew up playing hockey on rollerblades in her driveway every day… Has wanted to represent Canada since watching the Olympics first hand at Vancouver 2010… Biggest role models are Hayley Wickenheiser and Marie-Philip Poulin… Outside Interests: Received a Master’s degree  in sports management from Ohio State University after earning a Bachelor’s degree in sport industry in 2023… Loves to coach youth players and would like to pursue a career in coaching or managing… Enjoys hiking, camping, being outdoors, going to cafes… Odds and Ends: Close friends with former Ohio State roommate and Team USA player, Cayla Barnes… Favourite motto: “Believe that you can, and you will”…
