Kati Tabin

Biography

Kati Tabin debuted with the National Women’s Team during the Rivalry Series with Team USA in the fall of 2025, just a few years after coming out of retirement.

She played collegiately at Quinnipac University where she served as captain in her senior season. After graduating from Quinnipac amidst the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, she didn’t see any options to continue playing hockey. Hearing from others “It’s time to get a real job Kati”, she decided to hang up her skates and became an on-ice instructor. Being around young girls who enjoyed hockey so much made her realize how much she missed playing the sport.

She returned to competitive hockey in 2022 with the Toronto Six of the Premier Hockey Federation. While balancing a second job in the marketing department of Yamaha Motor Canada, she led all defenders in scoring and helped Toronto win the Isobel Cup.

When the PWHL launched in 2023, Tabin was selected 30th overall by Montreal in the inaugural draft.

Tabin played for Team Manitoba at the 2015 Canada Winter Games.
