Biography
Michele Esercitato is set to make his Olympic debut at Paris 2024 after defeating Santiago 2023 Pan Am Games gold medallist Tugrul Ozer at the team selection trials in May 2024.
Esercitato represented Canada internationally for the first time at the 2023 ISSF World Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan where he was Canada’s lone entry in the men’s 10m air pistol. He then served as an alternate to the shooting team for Santiago 2023. In April 2024, Esercitato competed at the ISSF Final Olympic Qualification Championship in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil where he placed 62nd.
