Vancouver Welcomes 100 Athletes for RBC Training Ground National Final
TORONTO (October 16, 2025) – On Saturday, November 1, various Team Canada Olympians and RBC Olympians will be in Vancouver to support the Top 100 athletes from across the nation competing in the RBC Training Ground National Final.
Now concluding its tenth season, RBC Training Ground is a nationwide talent identification and athlete-funding program focused on discovering and supporting the next wave of Canadian Olympians. This year, over 2,500 young athletes, aged 14 to 25 from across the country, took part in free RBC Training Ground events, showcasing their abilities to representatives from 15 National Sport Organization partners. During these events, participants underwent benchmark testing in speed, strength, power and endurance, aiming for a chance to be scouted to represent Team Canada. Since the program’s launch, 21 RBC Training Ground athletes have competed in three Olympic Games, collectively bringing home 14 medals.
As many as 35 athletes competing at the National Final will be designated as RBC Future Olympians, earning financial support along with access to elite coaching and mentorship opportunities to help them pursue their Olympic aspirations in the years ahead.
Media are invited for photo, interview, and b-roll opportunities. Please RSVP to Brian Findlay at bfindlay@gotoguys.net.
